Questions

What families ask us most

Do you take my insurance?

We bill Original Medicare Part B for testing that is medically necessary, and we work with some PPO plans as an out-of-network practice. We do not take Medicaid. We check your coverage before the intake interview.

What is a superbill, and how do I use it?

It is an itemized receipt with the dates and the kind of visit. You send it to your plan, which may reimburse part of out-of-network care. It carries a diagnosis code, and your plan decides what it pays.

What is a good faith estimate?

If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a written estimate of the cost before you start. If the final bill is $400 or more above it, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.

How are fees set, and when will I know what I owe?

The fee depends on the step: the intake interview, the testing day and report, or follow-up testing. Your written estimate gives each fee before the intake interview. Medicare and plan coverage are explained on the fees page.

Can I use an HSA or FSA card?

Yes, for the visits our fees cover. Ask your plan what it allows.

What happens in the first session?

An hour-long interview with you and, if you wish, a family member. No testing happens that day.

How long is testing, and how often?

One morning, with breaks. Follow-up testing is a separate, shorter visit, and your psychologist or doctor suggests when.

Are you licensed where I live?

We are licensed in Florida, and testing takes place at our Naples office. If you live in another state, your doctor can refer you to someone near you.

What do I do in a crisis?

Call or text 988, any time. In an emergency, call 911. This site and our messages are not monitored around the clock.

What is confidential, and what are the limits?

We keep your records private and share them only as the law allows, and with your written permission. The limits include a risk of serious harm, and we explain them at the first visit.

May a family member sit in?

Yes, at the interview and the feedback session, if you agree. During testing, they wait in the lounge so the tasks are not affected.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give 48 hours' notice to move a testing day, because the morning is held for you. We explain the details in your written estimate.
